Sometimes called a ‘Confidence Stripe’, checklines are printed along the selvage of the fabric. The entire group of lines is less than half an inch wide, and each strip of color represents a single print head. Checklines allow us to monitor the performance of each ink head on the printer individually and potentially fix any issues that may arise before they affect the print. We can often see from these lines if a single ink head is malfunctioning before it drops out completely and changes the composite color of the print.
Moving forward, we will include these checklines during the course of ALL prints to alleviate potential interruptions and greatly reduce fabric waste.
